I take Sudafed when I have a head cold. It helps unplug my ears but it does not work everytime I take it. I do recommend it.

At first the drug didn't work. However when I started taking it regularly, same time everyday, it worked. My doctor told me to not drink anything 1 hour before I took it or 8 hours after I took it. That was a major pain and sometimes I found myself dehydrated.

It's true that the taste is awful, and the bit of numbing is weird! But I have never slept better, and I wake up without any drug effects. I fall asleep about 20 minutes after I take it, so I plan accordingly. I find that it's less "yucky" if I place it under my tongue in such a way that I can make a tight "seal" over it with the rest of my tongue. This medication helps my asthma a lot, it always helps control my asthma and breathe a lot better but i get tremors and my heart races pretty fast but besides that it works great.
