I was on the Nuvaring for 1.5 years with excellent results: confidence in my birth control, no change in appetite, lighter, more comfortable periods. You would not be able to find a better champion for the drug than me during this time. Then I took a year off when I went through a break up, since i didn't need birth control anymore. After a year, I again became sexually active with a new partner and we had an excellent two months of great sex (albeit with less spontanaeity, due to the lack... View full comment

I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 9 years old. The asthma would come when I excercised and when I was around things that gave me allergies such as cats and pollen. I had a lot of expensive allergy tests done and was given an inhaler which would help in the moment when I couldn't breathe as well as some medicines but nothing seemed to really help overall. Two years later I moved to Chile with my family. There I went to a doctor who told me to take this medicine once a day every day. I... View full comment

I started taking mircette and then I switched to generic because it was pretty expensive for a birth control each month. After I switched I lost 10lbs, but I had cramps and a heavier period, so I switched back to regular mircette. It has been 2 months now and I have gained back the 10lbs and I'm always hungry even on my ADHD medicine. I have noticed hair loss while on generic and regular, but that could because I kept switching back in forth since mircette regular is often not kept in stock i... View full comment

After finding out I had Graves Disease and thyrotoxicosis in January 2010 I was put on carbimazole (think I had symptoms for nearly a year but always put them down to something else, maybe "change of life" etc) After only 6 days I had a severe allergic reaction to the carbimazole that nearly lost me my life! Vomiting, temp of 40.6c, rash all over my body that started eating into my face leaving blistered holes, my skin was yellow and my liver wasn't liking it either! My T4 was 80... View full comment

I am only taking this once per day instead of twice as that seems to be enough although I need to check with my doctor about doing that. Sometimes I take it twice when I know I will be visiting someone with cats

I tried remicade for awhile and it worked for about the first year and then my symptoms started to return so I was switched to some other drugs but ultimately went back to the remicade as compared to the other drugs, it worked best. Then it was becoming more and more clear that the remicade was no longer working and I'm not going to start a new drug called Cimzia. This involves giving myself injections at home, which doesn't thrill me!
