Been suffering from major depression, ptsd, dissociation and anxiety for many years. This medicine potentially saved my life. After several years of periodic panic attacks, I awoke to a suicidal panic attack whereupon my heart and body were racing and my mind was telling me that I HAD to kill myself. I have not had any problems with it. I have not had any tests done to tell me how it is working, however, I am hoping that when I have my next bone density test, the density will have improved.

I was prescribed Promethazine after I got my wisdom teeth pulled and was given Percocet and vomited. I also felt naseous after taking pain medicaiton (especially since I was unable to eat much with the medication due to having oral surgery). The Promethazine was amazing because it stopped the nausea and vomiting. It also made me very tired but I didn't mind because it was nice being asleep while I was in pain. I often have to switch my birth control because it doesn't always relieve my pain. Microgestin has been effective until recently. Just last month was a very heavy and painful period. I also had irregular bleeding 2 weeks before my usual period. I'm unsure if this is normal or a problem with Microgestin, but it will be discussed with my doctor. Either way, it was an uncomfortable month and quite inconvenient.

I have been off of this birth control for about 4 months. A couple of weeks ago I noticed my hair on the top/front of my head begin to thin. Recently it has become very thin. In certain lights you can clearly see my scalp. After reading quite a few articles on the internet I am starting to think my discontinuation of Ortho Tri Cyclen could be the reason. I have become extremely depressed over my thinning hair. I am afraid it will continue to get worse until I am entirely bald!
