Within about w two hours, I had all the diigestion-related symptoms of the flu (even though I do not and did not have the flu). Without getting too graphic, let me just say that my system emptied itself completely via both ends within about 1 half-hour. This is a terrible medication that did not work at all. It gave me a rapid heartbeat and ruined my asthma. I could not breathe at all. I had to be rushed to the ER for breathing treatments due to this medication.

I took Atenolol for years to treat cogenital chronic tachycardia (basically, my heart beats too fast). When I got pregnant, I was switched to Labetalol. Virtually no side-effects, which was a definate improvement over Atenolol. I have been taking it for 7 years now, and am quite pleased with it.

I take iron supplements for my anemia. It helps with the curious bruising I used to get because of the iron deficiency. I don't bruise as easily anymore so I think it's been working.
