I was on Depo-Provera for 14 years, the first year I had occasional spotting for a period and then no period for 13 years. I started seasonique because of hormonal migraines. I dislike taking hormones, but so far it has been the only thing that has consistently kept me from having migraines once a month. I now only get them 1-2 times a year in relation to hormones. I would like to try some more natural alternatives, but this is what works for me right now. I also really enjoy only having my period 4 times a year- especially with the job I have!

I think mentally it was discouraging to know that I had to take this because it is a private area. The medicine itself worked but I just never wanted to talk to anyone about it.

Your situation appears similar to mine. I had been taking Avapro (AKA Irbesartan) 150mg 2x daily which was doing the job. Then my drug insurer refused to cover it. Losartan was suggested as an alternative so I began that. I was on 50mg 2x daily which seemed to work; that was in 2012. I moved to a new state in 2012 and changed doctors. I had Graves Disease about 8 years ago,took docs a year to sort it out, had all the heart meds too. Then it was sorted out. Since then i have had Hyperthroidism about three times since - it just wont go away. Back on Carbims again. On 5 mg three times a day now have been retested and its hardly reduced it so have to up the dose to 4 tabs daily - doc said two am,two pm.
