I've taken only immediate release niacin. With twice a day dosing, I've never had any liver issues. Every time I try three times a day dosing, I eventually get elevated liver enzymes.

I have recently removed the ring after a few months because of the increased pain and discomfort in my chest. Such soreness that woke me up in the middle of the night if I rolled over on my chest. My doctor put me on Nuva Ring to regulate my cycle and decrease the Ovarian Cysts. I experience very difficult periods that are extremely painful... However, I am prepared to deal with that if it means that this very painful discomfort ceases.

It definitely worsens the rosacea. Certainly, does absolutely zero for outbreaks - except to exacerbate them. I am strongly considering filing a formal complaint about it with the FDA. My face is a mess with red blotches and that piece of garbage medicine does nothing!!

I was considering Accutane for cycstic acne, but thought the blood tests, joint pain and peeling lips side effects were a bit much. This was a last resort recommended by the dermo I was regularly seeing, and I am pleased with it. I've been using it for several years for acne on my face and occasionally on my back as well. I got a cold yesterday and wanted to go to sleep but couldn't because my stuffy nose was keeping me up. My mom gave me NyQuil and I fell asleep almost instantly. I recommend it for nights of insomnia.

Epitol saved me from the most severe pain I have ever experienced in my life. My trigeminal neuralgia was so severe that suicide was beginning to be an option. Taking the Epitol three times a day, on a regular basis has almost completely relieved my pain symptoms. I take the maximum dosage allowed and hope that I can continue to take it, as I never want to be in that much pain again.
