Using Carbilev for many years has improved my quality of life but I needed Sinemet 200mg at night so that I could function if I got up during the night. Was on Pexola for several years then did not do so well and came off and started Stelivo. Stelivo was used with Carbilev for about 6 months. This drug also works as an 'antispasmodic' (slows digestion) making it a godsend for those of us who have had Ulcerative Colitis, Chrones Disease, IBS, Colon Cancer, etc. -related surgeries. I went off this drug this morning and am looking forward to not bleeding for a month straight at a time (I think of the 3 ½ months i've been on it, i've bled for 2 ½ - 3 months). I certainly won't miss severe mood swings (or crying jags). I have't gained weight - but i've had a tough time loosing it. I wonder how long it will take for my system to get back to "normal".

LoEstrin is like a godsend to me. Since taking it, my periods have been significantly lighter and last only 3-4 days instead of the very heavy long (8-9 days) flow I used to have. Also, this medication has significantly minimized my cramps from very severe (used to have to stay home in bed) to barely noticeable. I would highly recommend this medication to anyone who is suffering from extreme periods.
