Benadryl is a very fast-acting medication and is 100% effective in my case. However, within a half an hour, I am knocked out as a result of the drowsiness effect. I usually sleep for long hours after taking the medication and feel groggy and lazy once waking up. Although my allergies are cleared up, I don't like sleeping the rest of the day or the feeling I get after waking up.

I'm a 42 yrs., and suffer from endometriosis. Heavy periods, and extreme cramps and bloating for up to 8 days. I have refused to use BC for approximately 10 yrs. because of all the side effects.
