Prep H does its job of reducing the swelling and pain caused by hemorrhoids very well. Two days after application, the product reduces the size of the hemorrhoid considerably and really eases the pain. However, Prep H does not "cure" hemorrhoids, and I believe it should be used only for pain relief.

I would rather take "Claritin D" rather than regular Claritin, but I stay away from decongestants because of a minor heart tachycardia. Taking Claritin regularly keeps the severity of my seasonal allergic reactions to a minimum, but it certainly does not stop all problems. It seems to be particularly ineffective at helping eye and nasal symptoms.

Lolav, I find that for sleep the alternative therapies work better and with less side effects then the pharmaceutical approach. I suggest you check with a health food store to see what they recommend. Valerian is good and so is just plain old hot milk before bed. There are stronger Ayurvedic or Chinese herbs that you can Google- some are common and some you have to go to India for. This drug is efficient but it causes fatigue. In addition, I have to make lab exams regularly and it is expensive. I would not recoemment it to a user.
