amitriptyline was added to my other medications because I was grinding my teeth at night and not getting rested sleep. This medication had to be increased after taking 50 mg/day for several years and is now back to working pretty well.

I was diagnosed with degenerative facet changes, L-4, L-5. I had been on constant ADVIL for 1 month which does relieve the pain significantly. I was told about Zyflamend and that it was an "herbal supplement" with anti-inflammatory results. Since I wanted to get off the ADVIL, I tried Zyflamend. Ever since Zyrtec removed the ephedrine and went OTC, the stuff makes me borderline narcoleptic. Is there a prescription strength version that puts the pep back in?

I have been perscribed Vicodin many times in the past, but this most recent time was very odd. I have experienced many side effects such as insomnia, when I am sleeping strange dreams, and an all over itch for the first day or two that eventually subsided. Overall, this is an ok painkiller, but I find it is really only effective at the start, over the days it seems that it doesn't work as well.

I was really against taking this drug to begin with. I've tried to keep a positive HOPE that this would help me. I have worse symptoms and can't differentiate what is symptomatic of the disease or the drug. The endocrine system is so complex and effects many other body systems.
