Since taking this medication I have developed severe ringing in the ears causing some hearing loss. The muscle and joint pain has gotten worse. Will be seeing Endo to be put back on Armour.

woke up with severe pain in left eye; subsided, and then headache (in first month) rash & itching; used 2.5%cortizone;itching left & has now returned, on faced & eyes last time, now all over. Unbalanced when getting out of bed at night & morning. monoxide has lowered by BP but are worried about pain in side of neck and knife like pain in left arm and left toes, these symptoms usually occur around 4am in the morning. I seem to awake around this time each morning. This morning I felt pain in right eye and felt yesterday my eyesight didn't appear that clear this is worring me.

I have been taking differin for awhile. When it works it works well. However it is not always effective. Additionally it makes my skin really dry. It also causes redness and can be painful.

Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment
