I am currently expiriencing severe back problems and it's a dilemma. The M.D prescribed (Morphine Sulfate) which is used to treat agonizing pain. I was told to take it (bid), of course running the risk of possibly becoming addicted to the narcotic. I took it as prescribed by necessity and recommendation. I only take Maxalt when the migraine is so severe I can not see straight. I do not like a lot of the side effects but a lot of the times it will dull the pain to where I can function again.
