Very effective against pain. Was taking 10/350 dosage and it was knocking me out at first. Downside is it's very addictive and it doesn't take long to get lulled into the addiction.

I took MARAX as a child in 60's, early 70's for asthma. I found it effective, but found it to cause a (to me, scary) side effect my doctor never mentioned: Marax caused me to "see stars" upon rising from sitting position; to the point that this "visual static" (similar to analog TV picture after station goes off the air) made it impossible to see, momentarily, upon rising. I have never had hallucinations in my life. I'm a 39 yr old female and was taking it for severe sinusitus and ear infections which I have been battling since this spring due to allergies.
