I think it is a great medication that really helped me quit after almost 30 years smoking. But the first step to be successful is to really want to quit and then Chantix will help with the effects of withdrawal. In my case the side effects were not strong enough to take me out of the path to reach my goal. It is worth it to try.

There are so many different kinds of medications out there. You aren't just going to immediately find the right one for you. It's all about trial and error. Trust me, it's an agrivating process and I've wanted to give up many times (I started trying different meds about 7 months ago) I have confedence that I will find one right for me. At first I noticed some hair loss, thought it may be stress. After what was causing stress went away I was still losing handfuls of hair. I was trying hair loss shampoo, went to the Dr's who said maybe diabetes; got tested for that, nope. I started getting super depressed, not that hair is everything, but it for sure is a confidence killer to be balding. No history of balding in the family either for men or women. I use Nasacort AQ when needed for allergies including stuffy nose, and to help prevent sinus infections. It works immediately and very well and I do not notice any side effects other than the slight burning in my nose when I use it.
