Hi, 17 year old female here. I started taking Accutane 40 mg, 1 pill, every morning with breakfast about a month and a half ago, and it is working great! My skin already is smoother, softer, and less acne covered. But I am still left with the scars from my Jr. High years. For the first week or so of treatment hell yes it was awful! i had been taking reclipsen for a year and i got bilateral pulmanary embolisms that the dr.s determined was caused by the birth control. so i would suggest that you should get tested for a birth defect called the factor v lieden...birth control tells you that it increases the risks for blood clots but not why....im thinking about sueing but im not sure yet

This pill has given me nothing but problems from the start. During the first few months I experienced weight gain, very sore breasts, mood swings, and worst of all hair loss. I would lose large clumps in the shower everyday. Also my periods were completely erratic. I was more regular when I was on no birth control. Eventually my hair stopped falling out and my breast stopped being sore, so I kept taking it. I've been on it for 10 months and now I'm pregnant! I'm not one of those people... View full comment
