I only take Maxalt when the migraine is so severe I can not see straight. I do not like a lot of the side effects but a lot of the times it will dull the pain to where I can function again.

I started out with 4 tabs a day but that was way too much. Doctor's PA told me to take 2 a day which was an improvement but side effects, although lessened, continued. I experienced restlessness, tongue sucking, mouth pursing, jaw clenching, rash on face, throat tightness with muscle spasm. I learned that these side effects over time can be life long. The pill was effective as a contraceptive, but I did not have a good experience with the side effects of the medication despite this being a "low dose" bcp. However, that being said, everyone has a different experience with different medications especially with the bcp because of people's different reactions to the hormones. I experienced headaches, fatigue, moodiness, and a considerable increase in breast size.

I found it to be the cleanest drug for mental health. Weight gain is slight . Its more wanting to eat than gaining the weight so discipline is good. I have just been on abilify and thought it to be notorious. Absolutely terrible, for me. I have gone back to Amisulpride. Even though i am male i lactate on this drug. Also have breast enlargement and sexual dysfunction. This may sound bad, but it is better than the torture of paranoia. Its a fantastic drug as long as you are consistent with it.
