I wanted to stop taking the drug because of the side effects however the side effect from stopping even gradualy gave me severe seizures or commonly called "Brain Zaps" so bad I don't want to stop. I feel like its a trick and my Dr. recommended me to double the dose. So he is like my crack dealer and now I am stuck on this pill forever.

My grandfather has taken Niaspan for a little over 2 years, he started within the last month with more moderate waking up at night a flushing. He has been hoarse for a long time with the drug and has had a runny nose constantly for sometime. About 3 weeks ago he started with having difficulty as he puts it getting things down while eating. My 23 year old daughter had her first gardasil shot in March 2009. Within 12 hours she suffered left sided weakness, resperitory distress and a severe muscle type seizure and was in the hospital. She still is suffering from severe muscle spasms, cognitive impairment and needs to take Klonopin on a daily basis.
