I was hospitalized after my pulse went through the roof when I took Zomig. It was attributed to an allergic reaction, so unfortunately this triptan is no long available to me (I still take Maxalt and Imitrex). However, my dad takes Zomig regularly and does quite well with it when he combines it with a painkiller.

My daughter was on this pill to help regulate her periods. For 3 months her stomach has been an absolute mess! She can barely eat without feeling sick and nauseated. She went to her Dr. and her blood pressure was 160/109! She is only 19 years old. I've been on Retin-A before and didn't have much success, but I was recently put on it again and have been a lot more successful with it. No real complaints minus the fact that it does not clear up old scarring.

I find the withdrawal symptoms quite severe; a few years ago my doctor wanted to start me on something else but wanted to get me off Effexor first; within 2 days my sleep patterns were very disrupted with vivid dreams and restlessness, by the 4th day my body was shaking - almost spasmodic. I went back on the Effexor, but find that even one missed or delayed dose causes a hightened dream state, my mind starts to race and I don't sleep well at all. I fear going off it, but hate the dependency.

Takes a while to have an effect, which is rough. But for me, once it did I just felt normal. I don't feel different, "high," "flat," or anything else. I just am not depressed - which is wonderful. It also had the unexpected side effect of greatly reducing my fear of flying.

Since menopause at age 58, I weighed 135 lb. I quit smoking 2-1/2 years ago and gained 15 lb. Lost that 15 lb. but then was diagnosed with emphysema 6 months after I quit smoking. I was started on Spiriva. Within 6 months I weighed 196 lb. and my A1c started to rise despite no change in diet or exercise. I went on a strict 1200 calorie diet, but couldn't lose.
