Carbimazole is a new drug for me. I am diabetic and it has dropped my iinsulin level slightly. I feel emotionally low. No positive effects yet.

My thyroid shut down 15 years ago, but after treatment with Levoxyl it started working again and has TSH, free T3, T4 levels have fluctuated ever since (though that was not recognized as normal 15 years ago). It supplies needed thyroid hormone, but does not address autoimmune problem that started it.

Ive been on Lybrel for around 7 months and its been good. In the beginning I had no spotting but instead i had HUGE mood swings, I would get extremely mad about nothing. After a while the mood swings stopped and a few weeks later I started spotting which didn't stop for about 6-7 weeks. It was extremely light so it didn't really feel like i was spotting. Without it on a daily basis, I will develop hives. If I am consistent, hives will not appear. The only draw back is having to see a doctor to refill the prescription as there is not an over the counter drug that emulates it.

Zyflemend really helped with my inflammation. But I had to stop using it because I began to have heart palpitaions, and my heart pounded so. It got so bad that I thought I was having a heart attack. I stopped and started back using it several times to be sure that the zyflemend is what was causing this to happen. And everytime I stopped using it for a few days, the palpitations and pounding would go away.
