I believe I suffered from depression and anxiety for many years before being officaly diagnosed. I finally seeked help when it was affecting my ability to be a good wife and mother. I took Lunesta for several months, Literally every morning I forgot what happened the previous night. I have woken up twise having had cut drastic ammounts of my hair in the night time and forgetting. It wasn't always like a blackout but it was very extremely fuzzy of a memory every morning. I take Klonopin to help with severe insomnia brought on by PTSD. I have taken it for days or for weeks in a row and then gone off of it for days or weeks. It seems to not have any withdrawal effects on me but it does effectivley help with the insomnia and occasional anxiey when I do take it. You sort of also have to know your body's reactions to chemicals and, also prepare your mind to accept the maximum positive effects of any medication entering your system.

This drug was a last ditch effort for me. It was trying this or having ECT which I am strongly against. I am happy that pristiq has given me much needed relief not only from depression but from anxiety as well. The only really awful side effect I had at first was nausea. It was very strong for about 3 weeks and then faded as time has gone on. I would recommend anyone whose tried other medications that haven't worked well for them to try this one.
