was on lipitor for 27mos. befor developing rhabdomyolsis . had a cpk reading of 14,000 and unconcious . was hospitalized for 10 days and released w/cpk of 7500 . after treatment including 5 doctors at mayo clinic cpk was reduced to about 700 about 12 mos. into treatment . and then cpk began to crawl back up now 10 mos. later is at 2900 . have myopathy,periphael neuropathy,rheumatoid arthritis,tininitus,droopy left eye and very tired w/pain that jumps all over also had 2 biopsies supporting st... The medication has really helped clear up my roscea but at the expense of my digestive system. I already had IBS with diahhrea and recently had gallbladder surgery so when the diahhrea become worse I blamed it on the surgery but was confused because I didn't notice it to be any worse directly after surgery. It finally hit me that I had resumed Doxycycline Hyclate a few weeks after surgery and after looking up side affects, I now believe the worsing symptoms could very well be the medication.... My doc and I are still trying to work out the right dose to combat the sleepiness that my antidepressants cause (I've tried many - all make me sleepy). On 75mg, I can get through the day but am exhausted at night when it wears off. On 150mg, I feel fantastic - have tons of energy, am happier, a little less hungry (which is great considering the weight gain that's happened with trying so many antidepressants), but I lay awake at night for hours.
