I went from a healthy weight of 140 (normal for my size) to 180 in less than 2 months. It came from nowhere, no changes in diet were made to have effected the weight gain. I was exercising a couple times a week, I have gained and lost weight throughout my life, but never in a quick amount of time. Furosemide and torsemide both cause me to have horrible burning foot pain and terrible pain in my ankles knees and joints. I have to take diuretics due to CHF if i stop taking it the foot pain gradually goes away but then i need the diuretic again - I can barely walk its truly excrutiating! Its ruining my life!

Toprol is very effective and keeps my heart rate low, which is what I need it to do. I just wish there was a way to take this medication and not be tired all the time. I assume it is such a problem because of the high dosage I am on, but I still would love to have more energy regardless.
