I found amoxicillin to be very helpful when I had bacterial and ear infection. It gave me a speedy recovery most of the times. One bad experience I had with it was during the fall of 2009 when I got a bacterial infection. As I took it, I began to feel nauseated and had head aches later that night. My 23 year old daughter had her first gardasil shot in March 2009. Within 12 hours she suffered left sided weakness, resperitory distress and a severe muscle type seizure and was in the hospital. I used Zicam a lot whenever I started to feel sick, and I think it worked (it can be hard to tell because the cold was only developing, but it never got any worse). Unfortunately, I used the Zicam Q-tips as well and lost some of my sense of smell. Now I do not enjoy food as much because I cannot taste it.
