Shortly after starting a short course of this medication I starting having irregular (skipped) heartbeats upon light exertion. It took me two weeks to put two and two together and I have now stopped the medication. I have had irregular heartbeats in the past but they had not bothered me for several years. Also, I have experienced difficulty sleeping including trouble getting to sleep and/or mid night wakefulness. Recently I have experienced diarrhea. This drug does not seem to be worth us... I've been getting heart burn due to acid reflux since i was about 14. At first tums worked for immediate relief but as it's gotten worse I started taking zantac 75. Zantac works quickly when I take it once heartburn starts and its nice becuase I do not have to take it daily in order for it to be effective if I don't want to

At first it really helped with lowering my cholesterol but as time went on, i began to have really bad pains in my arms. when i stopped taking it, i couldnt even move it was so bad.

I only take this right before bed because I know that it makes me extremely sleepy. When I wake up in the morning though, my allergy symptoms are mostly gone. My nose is cleared out, I can breathe freely, and my eyes don't water. It is worth the sleepy feeling to be able to walk outside without sneezing and sniffling.

I would rather take "Claritin D" rather than regular Claritin, but I stay away from decongestants because of a minor heart tachycardia. Taking Claritin regularly keeps the severity of my seasonal allergic reactions to a minimum, but it certainly does not stop all problems. It seems to be particularly ineffective at helping eye and nasal symptoms.

My depression and anxiety are much better. I haven't gained any weight as with other antidepressants. When I get aggitated or angry at something I can't seem to remain calm. I can't seem to control myself too well in these situations. I'm going to discuss this at my next Dr's Visit.
