had to get off it and switch to boniva as it was reacting with my zoloft. i was getting depressed for no reason after taking it for almost a year. no data on it from the company but i have a friend who had the very same problem much better after taking boniva now

Today my doctor told me to stop the Lipitor because my liver is "not happy". Since being on the drug, I have experienced lower cholesterol. BUT I have also had irregular heartbeat, weight gain especially abdominal, blood in my urine that the urologist can find no reason for, swollen hands and fingers, feet feel sore and hot but look normal, rashes on my arms, weakness in knees, and pain in my right side. I switched because of cost and this was the generic they caried. Oh goodness. It's been two weeks and I noticed I have crying spells and moody. This feeling of hopelessness/sadness. I have had bouts of depression and this pill seemed to magnify it for me. I do not want to keep people from trying it ..this is just my experience so far. I am switching back to microgestin(back to other pharmacy). I do not want to continue with it If I feel like this only two weeks in. So hopefully it will be bet... View full comment

Loestrin has been effective for me. My periods are much less painful and occur less than they used to (2-3 days every month). I don't bleed hardly at all and cramps are minimal. Also, I've lost weight on Loestrin and I generally feel better.
