I had been taking Zyrtec for about 5 years and before that was taking an older form of Allegra. As many allergy sufferers know, these and all allergy medications only work for a short amount of time before your body becomes immune to the effects. I can honestly say after three months of Xyzal, I have been symptom free since day one. Smaller dosage with the option to self medicate every second or third day provides a rythm I can cope with and live with and the benefits are great for me. I don't get the personality change I did when I tried other anti depressent and drugs for the fibromyalgia and feel much more balanced. This has lead me to go back to school full time! and plan for a good career I can choose my own hours with good pay and benefits.

I am taking Meloxicam for disc degeneration L4-L5 -disc buldge putting pressure on nerve. Since taking this medication I have started to have trouble with Sciatica. It appears that Meloxicam is not reducing the inflammation as well as Celebrex. Unfortunately, I cannot take Celebrex due to a sensitivity to the medication (hive reaction). Meloxicam is also causing dizziness and constipation as well as insomnia.

Metformin has done nothing for my diabetes, it really dries out my mouth. I have another Dr.'s appointment scheduled to try something else.

Provided the best sleep and maximum relief from pain, however, was accompanied by nausea (but then again I can't handle any pain killers when it comes to the nausea factor).
