The generic name of this medication is sumatriptan succinate and the brand name is Imitrex. It is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline.

The active ingredients of this medication are sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium. The inactive ingredients include; croscarmellose sodium; dibasic calcium phosphate; magnesium stearate; microcrystalline cellulose; and sodium bicarbonate.

It is primarily used in the treatment of migraine headaches with or without aura (for example, flashing lights; wavy lines; and dark spots).

22 Aug 2010 Imitrex worked for me when nothing else would. If I didn't take it as soon as the headache started then it would not work. I became dizzy and sick at times, with a reduced appetite as well.
