I started on Ortho Evera, and 3 weeks is all I could take. Physically, the patch was itchy and irritated my skin. It made my breasts fuller, but they were so sore, even just while walking. Emotionally and mentally, I was a disaster. The patch caused severe anxiety, to the point that I just prayed I could make it through the work day. I also became depressed and moody/easily agitated. My sex drive disappeared and overall I acted like a completely different person. My doctor had to put me on Xanax and an anti-depressant after removing the patch to try to "get me back to normal". I could not recommend this form of birth control, and I would caution users to monitor small changes in their mood before they become severe like mine did.

This is a fine method for birth control and doesn't have any more average side effects than the basic pill. I like that it works well. The only issue I occasionally have with it is that I can get stomach cramps.

it works great 3 years I have been on it and I am not pregnant! The only down side is the weight gain and a change in emotions, it makes you a little more sensitive.
