22 Aug 2012 I was on Sutent for approximateley 1 year with dosage changes due to side effects and was working and stable for 8 months then some changes were noticed in followup CT and MRI scans. Sutent either stopped working or I became resistant. Developed a brain tumor on outside of the brain core causing a seizure. Hospitalized to surgically resect the tumor. Also developed 2 tumors in my spine treated with stereotactioc radiosurgery. Now on Afinitor for 6 months seams to be keeping some existing small tumors stable.

01 Nov 2011 Stage 4 RCC diagnosed 2006. Failed nephrectomy, kidney embolised ok. Interferon, then temsorolemus, neither particularly effective, metastasised to lung. 37.5mg sunitinib daily, very effective, shrinkage then stable. Initially sore mouth, finger tips, diarrhoea, heart burn, fatigue, occasional vomiting. Side effects died away, now just some diarrhoea, fatigue. Work 5 days a week, no problem, good weight and appetite. Some short term memory loss (maybe age? 56). Very pleased with drug, life saver.

15 Sep 2010 Stage 4 RCC Left kidney removed in Oct 2008. Metastasized to stomach cavity 2010. Treated with Sutent since early June 2010. Side effects unusual but not out of the ordinary based on info Ive read. As of today It seems to be helping but probably to soon to tell for sure. I feel fairly well and have been working right along so thats a positive. Attitude is good as well as support from those around me.

25 Aug 2010 I'm 65 years old. Have stage 4 kidney cancer. Left kidney removed in october 2008 metastasized to stomach in february 2010. Sutent has been fantastic very little side effects work a physical 40 hours with peoples 20 years younger and hold my own.
