I tried Seasonique once I started being sexuially active again. The first month I developed a yeast infection, which is normal for me when I begin a new BC,then after 4 weeks I began spotting and breakthrough bleeding and this lasted for 2mths, finally I spoke to my OBGYN(who is a wonderful and amazing doctor) and he suggested that I stop that pack and start a new one(which he provided). I was on Yaz before. I had two periods a month! So my dr put me on femcon fe and now I have had headaches and nausea for a week. It sucks... I don't recommend it.

Changing to this synthetic analogue, described to me as "the greatest thing for Type 1 diabetics" by my diabetic team was a decision I now deeply regret. The side effects were extremely debilitating - extreme fatigue, memory loss, joint & muscle pain, feeling as if I was in a foggy toxic state all the time despite good HBA1c results.
