Occasionally i feel a tingly feeling on my lip and as soon as i apply aciclovir it removes the fever blister before it becomes large and painful. I was very impressed with the results because before i used to have to wait for a week and a half for it to clear on its own but now i don't even have to wait for it to appear.

This was a very, very bad experience. I was completely unable to sleep longer than 1 hour at a time. Over the 5 months I was taking this, that sleep loss added up. I was tired all the time, could not eat due to severe nausea, and saw things that were not there (this was confirmed by my husband). When I was diagnosed with UC in December 09 and was prescribed Asacol and a restricted diet, it took a while to get back on my feet and normal again. I was afraid to start eating again, but slowly starting putting foods back in. There are some I can never eat again, but that's okay. My weight returned and I am stronger and healthier than before. I don't like the "thinning/lossing" hair, but I manage.

Stopped taking it because the excessive weight gain was depressing. Also didn't enjoy being hungry all the time. Did experience mild improvement in depression, but not enough to make me want to keep taking it considering how the weight gain negatively impacted my mood.
