Claritin changed my life. I had terrible "seasonal allergies", and unfortunately, my allergies were problematic spring, summer and winter. I was given oxybuprocaine to numb my eyes at an opthamology eye exam, after receiving the drops I started to have convulsions. My head was completely bent back, my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and I was grinding my teeth. The convulsions lasted for hours on the day of the eye exam and returned sporadically the next day. Esipram (Lexapro) saved my life. I had suffered major chronic disorder for 18 years and no other anti-depressants helped. Some (Prozac) made it worse. I was taking tranquilizers every night and seeing a psychiatrist at least weekly. The anxiety attacks were horrendous and nothing helped. I still cannot believe the difference Esipram made.
