I am a 42 year old woman who suffers with heavy periods and have done for most of my life! I recently started taking Norethisterone to help with my periods, which has helped. I suffer with anemia due to heavy periods, so regularly take Ferrous Sulphate, however this upsets my stomach and makes me feel ill, so I try and take the liquid form which combines Vit C with the Iron. I have been taking diferrin for quite some time now. At times it is very effective, but at other times it can do absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, it makes my skin very dry and red. My skin begins to peel. This can be combatted with use of moisturizer. My skin sometimes hurts from it being over sensitized by the medicine.
