I was prescribed Lupron to stop my periods, which were always painful with heavy bleeding. Since I was in treatment for early stage breast cancer, it was also recommended to control the estrogen, which helped to produce my tumour. I had had two 1-month shots and I am never taking this drug again. I can stand the hot flashes, the exessiuve sleepiness in my case and the feeling of weakness in the muscles. Benadryl is a great medicine to stop an allergic reaction. I take the 12.5 childrens grape chewables and usually only need to take one to stop my reaction. The only downfall is it makes me a little sleepy
