I was prescribed this drug for Fibromyalgia pain. Yes, you feel less pain because you're High as a Kite! At first my husband thought it was funny that I spent my time giggling and walking into things. Obviously not good. This was on a very low dose of 50 mg / 2 x daily. I am very sensitive to this drug and it caused too many problems including memory, confusion, feeling dizzy and/or "high" plus my husband said there was a change in my personality - obviously not a good one.... No negative effects at all, only good for treating acne rosecea. Had suffered fom this condition without knowing and seeking medical advice for two years with horrendous breakouts of spots,blisters and patches of inflamed skin. Once started on this drug condition settled really quickly and cleared within six weeks. GP prescribed drug for a few months afterwards to ensure condition had settled. Ambien is great to get a good nights sleep if you have trouble. It makes me a little groggy the next day but that doesnt last very long. The doctor told me that it isnt good for long term use though because it can be habit forming.

It was a great drug in the beginning, but later the side effects are very severe would not recommend. I had shortness of breath and chest pains, and I would work out everyday. I stopped the pills and after a week of not taking them I felt a lot better.

This drug is DANGEROUS. It damaged my lingual nerve permanently. I now have a paresthesia/dysesthesia of my tongue, right side, going on 17 months. It is torture. My taste is altered along with burning pain and tingling in my tongue on the right side.
