First time i have tried mucinex, usually fight off broncititus atleast twice a year, yes each major weather change spring and fall. Usually takes me 3 weeks to finally get back in gear each time. Tried mucinex this time took the extended release type 600 twice a day, it worked BUT I do have a warning to pass along. I do weekly immunoglobulin subQ infusions. I used Chloraprep once a week, prior to insterting the 5 needles that are necessary for 1 treatment of immunoglobulin, . For the past 18 weeks, I've been using Chloroprep and have suffered with huge (4-5 inches) and burning welts at each infusion site. The welts would last for 2-3 days and required me to use prednisone and Benedryl to reduce the itching. My skin around the hives was very sensitive and felt like it had gotten very sunburned. I have thinning neck discs causing pressure on a nerve and spinal cord and the pain in my arm was unbearable -I was crying at times with it. Lyrica at 600 mg a day (with Tramadol ) has allieviated this but I have had slight vision problems at some times and absolutely no Libido! I take Sudafed when I have a head cold. It helps unplug my ears but it does not work everytime I take it. I do recommend it.

I've only taken Ibuprofen a few times but it has been very effective at relieving my headaches and inflammation. It has really helped with toothaches as well.
