I've been on it for just over a month. For the past 2-3 weeks I haven't been able to sleep through the night. I sleep for about 4-5 hours, then wake up repeatedly for the rest of the night (~5-12 times each night, so far) on my placebo week I had 2 very intense nightmares, the first about my boyfriend dying & the second about accidentally killing my cat. Claritin changed my life. I had terrible "seasonal allergies", and unfortunately, my allergies were problematic spring, summer and winter. I am an active athlete, and my performance was greatly effected by my allergies. Since taking Claritin my allergies have all but gone away, and I can lead a normal life. Doxycycline Hyclate

Doxycycyline Hyclate cleared my skin up great. However, not sure if caused by this drug or not, I got very drowsie while on it and had several incidences of nearly falling asleep while driving, very unusual for me. Then one day I did fall asleep at the wheel while going around a corner, hit the the curb. Luckily no one, including me, hurt but ripped my trye to shreds, wrecked the tyre rim and just missed a lampost!!!! Beware.

Microgestin

When I switched to Microgestin I started getting extreme dry mouth, especially at night time when laying down. I will wake up in the middle of the night and my mouth/gums will be completely dry to the point where I can't make my own saliva. Also, I've gained a lot of weight since taking it. I was told to take this while we were trying to get pregnant. I had to stop taking it because it left a metalic taste in my mouth and I was very nausea. I had a huge appetite while I was taking this also.

after reading several difffernt sites about the side effects of femcon, i think i have an explanation for my extreme nausea, sudden blurred vison, joint pain, ridiculous weight gain and digestion problems. however, i just saw my obgyn last week, told her of these issues and no connection (except the weight) was made to femcon. also, i am a runner and since starting on the femcon i have had an acute problem with joint pain and fatigue durring my runs, thus causing me to run at a slower pace...
