My wife took Prednisone for treating a rare skin disease. She started having severe side effects like chest pain, restlessness, increased heartbeat, feeling mental madness, high irritability. Afte 2 days of taking it she had to be taken to emergency for recovering from side effects.

I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) around 3-4 years ago, and since then have tried various dosages of Strattera, Adderall, and Vyvanse. I now take 30 mg of Vyvanse a day and cannot get over the increase in my productivity. I honestly have a love-hate relationship with the medicine. This medication changed my life. I almost failed high school. I got my BA-MA-Phd in late 30's on a 10-15 cup of coffee/day habit. Once I got a full-time job I was so exhausted from staying focused that i slept most weekends. For many years I could never figure out quite what was wrong with me/why I couldn't stay in the moment. Taken as needed (once every month or 2) for anxiety and tremors of the hand. Has made me confident to do things I would never imagine being able to do in the past. I feel like I can function as a normal human being now. I feel no side effects after taking it except for mild fatigue the next day while working out.
