I was nervous to get the Mirena because I typically do not do well with any dose of hormones. The only birth control method that has worked for me in the past is the Paragard but unfortunately after about 6 months, my body rejected it. i feel this way after almost one year (half that year was on the generic microgestin), and finally realized my feeling may be a side effect of junel. thought it was just me and didn't know how to control my mood. cryin right now actually :( i think i may skip tonight's pill and just stop birth control for good. the hormones are horrible for the environment anyways. i plan to start using condoms and natural family planning instead. ....or i may just try the ring bc it is supposedly much lower... I would strongly discourage women with anxiety and/or depression from taking this pill. I've suffered from anxiety and depression for years, which is kept in check by medication, however by week three of my first pack of this pill, I experienced depression so severe that I did nothing but sleep and cry for a week. As if that were bad enough, I went through two weeks of daily panic attacks which sent me to urgent care twice and eventually to a counselor to eliminate them. Please tell your doct... I am on 0.25 Xanax twice a day along with Ativan 0.5mg -2 tabs before bedtime. My Dr. wanted me to try Xanax and see what worked the best for me. I had been on Ativan 0.5 mg 3 or 4 times day and it seemed to have quit working for me. Now, I can't really tell any difference between Ativan and Xanax. I really think i like Ativan the best. So frustated with meds. I am also on Lexapro- 20 mg. Any suggestions for me?
