User Comments about Clonidine Hydrochloride
21 Jan 2013 After trying Topamax, Inderal, and others for migraines, Clonidine has proven to be most successful with the least amount of side effects. I was getting approximately 3 migraines a week, now I get one maybe once a month that's a lot less severe.

08 Aug 2010 I've been on the drug about 6 weeks. I immediately began experiencing dire thirst and that continues. Last week I started having heart palpitations and will see a cardiologist next week. Primary physician doesn't think it's dangerous but wants to have the cardiologist look. My blood pressure just seems to keep going up sky high and I have increased my dosage (beginning today) from 1 tablet 3 times a day to 2 tablets 3 times a day. I'm trying to remain calm and not go into a panic attack mode, but this is all new and scary to me.

18 Mar 2009 Did control blood pressure--it was a sort of last resort effort from the doctor after more than a decade of blood pressure refusing to be under control with multiple, simultaneious drugs. But I had an utterly inappropriate manic ideation. I know it's supposed to remove epinephrine from the system; maybe I had a co-cortisol cascade. I was ready to do harm to self & others; contemplating ridiculous risks; hair-trigger startle response. I know it's not *supposed* to do that, but it was a very real, very frightening response.
