Description
This class refers to treatments used to aid in the reversal of anesthetic effects, often used post-surgery.
Traditional Treatment
Treatments depend on the type of anesthetic used, the procedure performed, and the body's response to the anesthetic. After surgery, a person may be taken to a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), otherwise called the recovery room. Here, nurses may observe the vital signs, bandages, and inquire about the pain level. Medications may be administered, including OraVerse (for dental procedure recovery),
Flumazenil, and others including pain medications for when the anesthetic wears off.
