I had a fever blister on my lip that had somehow spread all over my eyelids and certain areas below on my face. In combination with my eczema, they were really dry and started to crack and burst, which was not only uncomfortable but painful especially under water. With Aciclovir, those bubble-like, inflamed skin patches started to turn to normal color. The swelling went down each day and all symptoms disappeared by the end of the week. Aciclovir is effective and works fast to stop the spread and infection of the virus.

About Aciclovir
Aciclovir (INN) (IPA: ) or acyclovir (USAN, former BAN), chemical name acycloguanosine, is a guanine analogue antiviral drug, marketed under trade names such as Zovirax and Zovir (GSK). One of the most commonly-used antiviral drugs, it is primarily used for the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections, as well as in the treatment of herpes zoster (shingles).
Aciclovir was seen as the start of a new era in antiviral therapy, as it is extremely selective and low in cytotoxicity. Pharmacologist Gertrude B. Elion was awarded the 1988 Nobel Prize in Medicine, partly for the development of aciclovir.
