Acyclovir is the only drug keeping my herpes witlow under control so I can work. I just wish there was a way to truly get rid of the condition. I feel cheated for I got the condition from performing pericare on a patient infected and my glove broke.

i did not realize i was having an allergic reaction to acyclovir. I took acyclovir for 10 days and it has marked my face...and it was late it an outbreak so now that my outbreak is gone it has scared my face. I itched and broke out in a rash on my neck. My eyes also were itching bad. It was not a pleasant experience.

Helps clear up cold sores fast. But you have to begin taking acyclovir as soon as the symptons appear, or it's not as effective.
