About Antim. tart.
Antimony potassium tartrate is used in the textile industry to bind dyes to fabrics. It was once used in orthodox medicine as an expectorant, to induce vomiting, and in the treatment of fungal infections and worms. This remedy is used in the very old and very young who are wheezing but too weak to cough up phlegm, drowsy, and irritable. It's also given for headaches with a sensation of a tight band around the head, which is made worse by coughing. Generally these ailments are characterized by the face feeling cold to the touch and the tongue being thickly coated and red in the center and around the edges. Usually there is a lack of thirst. Legs may be puffy from fluid retention. Nausea is relieved by vomiting.
