28 Sep 2015 Taken azo for years about once a month. This time had to take it for one month everyday. Went to Dr. and there was no infection so still taking it once a day. Started having leg cramps in lower leg at night so bad that woke me up and had to get up and walk it off. Think it flushes out my natural minerals and that is what caused it. Started taking once a day vitamins and getting better.

15 Sep 2015 I have used Azo over the years for UTI's but not for a whole week. I found out that using it a whole week caused me to have a reaction. Severe lowe back pain and pelvic pain. Must be allergic to the dye they use.

29 Sep 2014 I have frequent UTIs and bladder spasms. I use azo a lot to help relieve symptoms. I've been taking azo for about 10 or more years. Only in the last couple years have I experienced the pain in my side. After an hour or so after taking it I get a horrible, burning type pain in my right side just below my rib cage. It takes around 20 minutes before it goes away. Durning that 20 minutes I lay down if I can. When I'm at work I'm doubled over and can't move until it's gone.im guessing it is my kidney burning. I always drink plenty of water, at least a gallon a day. I don't understand why in the beginning I didn't have this problem with azo, but now I do. Maybe they have added a different ingredient or something?

21 Aug 2014 I've been using Azo for probably ten years, I get the UTI pains several times a month, I'd say. I've DEFINITELY experienced the horrible pain you guys talked about, but I never experienced it until probably the last few years. I agree with what one of you said about drinking PLENTY of water before and after taking it, it usually will nip it in the bud for me. It's absolutely scary when that pain starts though. Always make sure you eat before you take it and drink plenty of water, never take on an empty stomach! I've done that and puked within minutes of taking it. Azo is a very touchy thing, so be careful and good luck. Also, Azo Cranberry Supplements are amazing! So helpful, they really help prevent UTIs, I can even take them in place of regular Azo when the pain starts.
