Doxorubicin should not be administered prior to intravenous administration of Dexrazoxane.
Should be administered in patients that have been given a cumulative doxorubicin dose of 300 mg/m2 and will proceed with doxorubicin.
It might contribute further to the myelosuppression caused to the administration of chemotherapeutic medications.
It is recommended that cardiac function be monitored due to the occurance of cardiac toxicity.
Recommended that the dosage of dexrazoxane be decreased by 50% in patients with creatinine clearance values below 40 mL/min.
Not recommended in pregnant women and nursing mothers, unless the risk to fetus and child can be justified.
