The generic name of this medication is chlorpheniramine and brand name is Bedacon.

The active ingredients of this medication is chlorpheniramine.

This medication is used for the temporary relief of runny/stuffy nose and other symptoms (e.g., ear congestion, watery/itchy eyes, itchy throat) that may be caused by allergies, hay fever, the common cold, sinus inflammation (sinusitis) and other breathing illnesses.

Common Uses:

This medication is used for the temporary relief of runny/stuffy nose and other symptoms (e.g., ear congestion, watery/itchy eyes, itchy throat) that may be caused by allergies, hay fever, the common cold, sinus inflammation (sinusitis), and other breathing illnesses.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Drowsiness
Dizziness
Dry mouth/throat/eyes
Blurred vision
Fast heartbeat
Trouble sleeping
Restlessness
Irritability
Headache
Stomach upset
Shakiness
Constipation

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for patients with the following conditions:
In patients that are allergic to any of the medications.
In patients that have uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe heart disease (e.g., severe coronary artery disease, angina, severe heart failure).
In patients with a certain slow heart rhythm problem (sinus bradycardia), a certain eye pressure problem (narrow-angle glaucoma), difficulty urinating (e.g., due to enlarged prostate), stomach/intestinal ulcer, asthma attack.

Drug Interactions:
MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine);

Migraine headaches (e.g., sumatriptan, naratriptan, zolmitriptan, ergotamine);

Anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine, phenobarbital), medicine for sleep or anxiety (e.g., alprazolam, diazepam, zolpidem).
