I was given a starter pack of Fanapt. I took the medicine exactly as prescribed. When I ingested the 2nd pill from the starter pack at the time and in the manner prescribed by my doctor, I had to be taken by ambulance to the ER. My blood pressure was 180/150 and stayed at that level for over 8 hours. My pulse was around 160-180 the entire time. I had a horrendous migraine and was exceedingly dizzy. This allergic reaction was reported at the time of its occurance to the Food and Drug Administration.

Horrible side effects. Tremors that are uncontrollable even with medication to reverse it

I take Fanapt 6mg twice a day. I have noticed weight gain since taking this medication. Also, a stuffy nose and some tiredness. On the other hand, my symptoms have improved greatly. This medication decreases auditory hallucinations. I think since I have been diagnosed eight years ago, that this is the best medication thus far for me.
