I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp. Carving for sugar has increased, gained 10# and all readings have jumped up remarkably since starting this medication. At first it helped the pain in my hands and generalized/overall aching pain. Lately I have begun to feel more pain and particularly old injury pain in neck/back, which has flared for years. Doctor just increase dosage from 300 mg x3 to 600 mg x3 to see if that would help with ALL my pain (rather than give me Vicodin which I had been on for the accident pain for many years and it worked). I'll give it 8 weeks and then evaluate for doctor.

I have moments? I am taking it for my left leg for nerve issues with connection to my lower back, it has eased my leg pain somewhat, but there are these moments if I stand too still after walking that my legs and lower body kind of go all pins and needles and I have to sit down for a couple of seconds and then I'm fine. I can walk further but my OC has kicked in too.

I am just starting out with this drug. The only side affect I have noticed is extreme sleepiness after taking it. I started out with one at night time but now he is increased it to 3 x a day and I am concerned about functioning during the day on this drug. I guess time will tell. I do believe it is having a affect on my pain. The pain does seem less.
