29 Mar 2012 Thought I was having a heart attack! Went to ER, turned out to be severe esophageal spasms. Have had heart attack before and had stent placement, so believe me I know the symptoms of a heart attack and these symptoms felt just like it. Thank goodness it was the Niaspan, my Dr. decided we will try another treatment. My hdl numbers are not that low so I will try more exercise and maybe not have to take anything!

11 Dec 2011 PSA is rising. Read that Niaspan can raise male hormone. Is this true and does male hormone raise PSA level? PSA has been at about .3 to .4 for the last 7 years or so. The last reading was at .96. This was after using Niaspan for last half year or so.

17 May 2011 I HAVE HAD FAIRLY GOOD SUCCESS AFTER THE FIRST WEEK SIGNIFICANTLY MINIMIZING THE FLUSHING AND ITCHING IF I EAT A SMALL CUP OF PARFAIT OR LOW CAL YOGURT BEFORE I GO TO BED ALONG WITH ONE ASPIRIN OR ALLEVE. SAMS NOW SELLS OVER THE COUNTER NIAPSPAN TABLETS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO FLUSH FREE. I BELIEVE THE NIASPAN D WEBSITE CAUTIONS PEOPLE TO NOT ABRUPTLY SWITHCH FROM NIASPAN D TO REGULAR NIASPAN.
